Laura Moulton is the author of Loaners: The Making of a Street Library, (Perfect Day Press, 2021). She is founder and director of Street Books, a bicycle-powered mobile library serving people who live outside and at the margins in Portland, Oregon. Her work has taken her into public schools, prisons, shelters and universities. Participatory art projects have featured postal workers, poets, immigrants and women incarcerated at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. She currently teaches writing at the Attic Institute, where she is a faculty member in Nonfiction in their Atheneum program. She has taught at Lewis & Clark College and for Literary Arts. She earned an MFA from Eastern Washington University. In 2025, she received the Stewart H. Holbrook Literary Legacy award from Literary Arts.
